IB ToK Presentation Help: Identifying the Central Proposition
Once you have chosen your topic, identifying your ToK presentation's central proposition is an essential,
but often overlooked step.
It is a clearly identified and stated proposition that gives a presentation its focus, and allows you
to identify the relevant knowledge issues.
The precise formulation of the proposition will be determined, in large part, by the type of presentation
you intend to deliver: to explain or to persuade. Explaining a proposition is quite different to trying to
persuade someone of its truth or value.
With a masters degree and a doctorate in the theory of knowledge, and having taught the subject
widely to college and university students, I provide expert tuition on planning and delivering excellent
